The steps below apply to all devices running iOS4, including iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices.
These instructions assume you’re setting up Contact and Calendar synchronization for a user called dave@example.com, please adjust the instructions to match your own email address.
- Click on Settings
- Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Choose Add Account
- Choose Other
- Choose Add Mail Account
- Fill in the following fields in the Account Setup dialog
- Email: Your full email address (dave@example.com)
- Domain: The “domain” portion of your email address (example.com)
- Username: The “user” portion of your email address (dave)
- Password: Your password.
- Description: Change this if desired
- Touch Next
- Fill in the following fields under Incoming Mail Server
- Host Name: mail.hireahit.com
- User Name: Your email address (dave@hireahit.com)
- Password: Your password (this field should already be completed).
- Fill in the following fields under Outgoing Mail Server
- Host Name: mail.hireahit.com
- User Name: Your email address (dave@hireahit.com)
- Password: Your password (this field must be entered manually).
- Touch Next
- Wait 30-45 seconds for the device to verify your configuration
- Slide the Notes slider to Off
- Touch Save
